Software Design Engineer in Test C# C++ Web Services

Our client is the Northwest's hugely popular software enterprise seeking a qualified SDET to define and implement testing procedures for server components sustaining web services.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Design and development of test tools for the purpose of automated testing and increasing the efficiency of manual testing
- Performing Code Reviews
- Collaboration with partner teams in testing the product
- Finding and reporting bugs within owned areas
- Designing new and leveraging existing test automation infrastructure
- Documenting functionality of test tools
- Utilizing White Box testing techniques
- Working under the supervision of a Senior SDET
- Effectively communicating and reporting feature quality and state

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

- 5+ years of development + testing experience
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Solid testing skills with relevant work experience in testing web services (WCF/REST/Azure)
- Strong development and debugging skills with C# (and experience with.NET 3.5+)
- Strong development and debugging skills with C++
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent job experience
- Solid understanding of software development cycle
- Demonstrated project management ability
- Ability to work well in a team environment

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with Security testing/fuzzing tools
- Experience with Performance/Stress testing tools and methodologies
- Experience with testing tools like fiddler, netmon etc.
- Comfortable dealing with and taking on ambiguous technical challenges

This contract position is expected to be 12 months in duration.
