OVERVIEW:

- Develops and implements test plans. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics. Plans and conducts analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration.
- Designs tests and develops test strategies for analysis and qualification of products. Writes and maintains test automation. Maps out the testing tools to be used as a part of the automated testing process.
- Performs analysis of technical product issues with the development team.
- Writes test scripts and tools to facilitate data analysis and problem isolation.
- Performs in-depth feature testing and integration testing.
- Performs compatibility testing between custom developed tools and solutions and other products including Windows Server 2008 & higher, Windows 7 and higher, Office 2010 and higher, Chrome, IE, and Mozilla.
- Works with the development team to provide code fixes as appropriate or follow through on escalation of issues to peer groups.
- Clearly communicates test progress/status and appropriate metrics on a consistent basis.
- Drives bug triage process and communication.
- Contributes to production and non-production code deployments and investigation.
- Participates in regular on-call rotation supporting a variety of products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3+ years of practical experience in software development/testing
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Excellent result driving capabilities, strong problem solving aptitude, and cross-group collaboration skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to function as an expert hands-on Test Engineer
- Prior product development including in-depth, hands-on working knowledge of Server products, .NET, C#, Test Manager, Visual Studio, and Team Foundation Server
- Experience with UI technologies and web services in an enterprise environment desired
- Experience with the pace and demands of supporting online services a plus
- A BA/BS degree or above in Computer Science or a related technical field
