SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER IN TEST REDMOND, WA 12 MONTH CONTRACT

For this position inside the world's leading software enterprise, you will be executing manual and automated cellular related tests on WINDOWS PHONE DEVICES on live or simulated Cellular networks. you'll learn from the job using and OPERATING NETWORK SIMULATORS from various companies. You will build device tests, schedule test passes, perform initial bug triaging, failure investigation, opening bugs, repro bugs and collect logs, and generate test reports. You will attend regular team meetings to provide update on tasks at hand and discuss blocking issues. Occasional field test trips (driving or walking around with devices running tests and collecting logs) may be needed.

BASIC CODING AND TEST AS WELL AS SOME EXPERIENCE INTERACTING WITH RADIO SIMULATORS SUCH AS ANITE, SPIRENT OR W2BI IS REQUIRED.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with network simulators (Agilent, Anite, Anritsu, Spirent, and/or Comprion) needed
- Cellular, mobile testing, or Mobile Operator validation testing a must
- Experience in test plan execution, and debugging network/cellular related failures also a strong plus
- 1-3 plus years software testing experience and solid knowledge of software quality assurance practices and strong testing aptitude required
- Must have the ability to read logical and physical data model diagrams
- Ability to read and write C/C++ and VB required
- DATABASE PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE, IE SQL SERVER, SYBASE, ORACLE, INFORMIX AND/OR DB2 MAY BE REQUIRED
- Familiarity with COM needed
- Visual Basic, MFC, OLE, Internet tools, NT, compiler preprocessor preferred
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science required and some business/functional knowledge preferred
