Software Design Engineer in Test

Our client is the maker of hugely popular GAMES seeking a qualified SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER IN TEST to design and develop test plans on a contract basis.

OVERVIEW

- Contribute to the creation/maintenance of Test Specs and Test Cases for the areas assigned
- Execute Test Cases as needed
- Contribute to the creation/maintenance of automation framework for executing Unit and BVT tests
- Contribute to the creation/maintenance of automation for executing end to end client tests
- Contribute to the creation/maintenance of tools for evaluating execution telemetry (performance, code coverage, feature coverage, etc.)
- Work directly with the project development team in debugging and evaluating issues based on bugs and user scenarios
- Provide status on owned areas

QUALIFICATIONS

- 1-3 plus years software testing experience
- C++ and C# skills and experience required
- Must have solid knowledge of software quality assurance practices and strong testing aptitude
- Must have the ability to read logical and physical data model diagrams
- Database programming experience, ie SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Informix and/or DB2 may be required
- Familiarity with COM needed
- Visual Basic, MFC, OLE, Internet tools, NT, compiler preprocessor preferred
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware may be required
