Software Design Engineer ASP.NET

We're looking for a Developer to help build an accessibility assessment and planning application. You'll work with a small, agile, in-house team reacting to customer requests and facilitating research in the accessibility/security space.

As a part your work, you'll be exposed to different cloud-based scanning and analysis projects. You'll also have opportunities to contribute to various other tools that help design more accessible software.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated Developer, capable of working on all levels of the architecture, including (some) presentation, business logic and lower levels. The projects are data intensive and require an ability to think and solve problems in multi-dimensional ways. Rock solid problem solving, coding skills (C#, HTML/XML, C/C++), minimum 3 years working experience with demonstrated experiences in delivering products to customers are required.

Other requirements are good understanding of web/cloud programming, database design, and a BS in CS or equivalent degree. Prior experience in testing or dealing with big data and building data analysis tools is a plus.

Candidate needs to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

REQUIREMENTS

- 6 plus years work related experience
- ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, SQL
- Preferred skills: WCF, LINQ to SQL/Entities, OData
- Ability to define specifications and develop and implement features
- May be required to present ideas/project plans to multiple teams and/or external customers
- May require advanced knowledge of programming languages and/or development tools in one area, and moderate level skills in multiple areas, such as C#, ASP.NET, C/C++, SQL Server 2008, Win 32 API, MFC, COM
- May be required to have experience across multiple tiers of development involving low level, Embedded, middle and Front End such as TCP/IP, WinCE and multi-threading
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field required
- Master's degree is preferred and may substitute for up to 2 years of related experience

This is a 3 month contract position with possibility of extension.
