Our client is the maker of the worlds most popular motorsports game franchise looking for a talented and experienced Tools Developer. Tools development is serious business, enabling efficient creation of many hundreds of assets and work across a large geographically distributed team. Tools Developers with this company integrate a broad set of technologies to deliver innovative game creation tools chains.

Because you will affect such a wide range of workflows across the studio, communication is a huge part of the job, and you must be able to understand, translate and enable communication between Artists, Developers, Designers, and Technical Artists.

Successful candidates will have strong C# WPF knowledge, working knowledge of MVVM design principles, core 3d math, and a solid understanding of game creation techniques and artists tools. You must be comfortable working across managed/unmanaged boundaries and have a passion for integrating disparate systems into a stable, high performing single user experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science
- 2 years of professional C# development
- 1 year creating WPF UIs in C#
- 1 year experience C++, prefer game development/rendering
- 1 year working across managed/unmanaged boundaries
- Experience with MVVM programming paradigm
- Strong 3D game programming fundamentals
- Strong 3D math
- Excellent debugging skills
- Working knowledge of 3D asset creation, including shaders and materials
- Experience with d3d, Slim DX, or Sharp DX
- Prior experience with 3DSMax plugins and Scripting

PREFERRED CANDIDATES WILL ALSO HAVE:

- Experience with WCF, and socket level programming
- Shipped one or more AAA games
- SQL and T-SQL experience
- Experience building distributed systems
