Site Solution Engineer

We are currently recruiting for our client, a prestigious telecommunications company to join their project in the United Kingdom.

Position Title: Site Solution Engineer

Position Type: Contract

Start Date: April 2015

Duration: 3 months rolling

Responsibilities:

- Check plans for radio site towers, monopoles, antenna mounting structures, cabinets and electronics.
- Supervise designers to optimize the site design to simplify and reduce the cost of civil work construction.
- Check site specific structural design analysis submitted by subcontractors.
- Review and approve alternative materials proposed by suppliers and customers.
- Ensure the site designs are in line with customers' requirement and standard of the operation and maintenance.

Qualifications/Skills Required:

- A minimum 4 years experience in site design of the telecoms industry, gained working for a Design Consultancy, Equipment Vendor or Operator.
- Familiar with the civil work program such like SAP 2000, ETABS, StaadPro, MSTower, PCA, or other software.
- An excellent understanding of towers, monopole and all antenna support structures.
- Extensive experience in concrete or reinforced concrete of tower foundation, familiar with electrical design according to the local standard.
- An in depth understanding of value engineering and the principles of cost effective designs.
- Experience of ensuring quality through design and designing within Health and Safety guidelines.
