ROLE: Site Investigation Package Manager
LOCATION: South West
RATE: £450-500 per day
DURATION: 6 MONTH - INITIAL CONTRACT

A leading Operator within the On/Offshore renewables energy sector is currently looking to recruit an experienced Site Investigation Package Manager for a recently consented Offshore Wind farm.

Reporting to the General Site Manager, the Site Investigation Package Manage for offshore works will have the capability and experience to deliver the package within budget and on programme, whilst maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and quality.

WORKING MAINLY ONSHORE IN THE PROJECT OFFICES. SOME OF YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

- Acting as the Package Manager for the offshore site investigation scope of works and also in conjunction with the project Hydrographic Surveyor acting as a subject matter expert providing advice to the project team.
- Define in conjunction with the project Hydrographic Surveyor survey scopes and techniques and interfacing with package contractors on project survey requirements
- Managing survey package budgets and contractor selection processes
- Acting as a point of contact along with the project Hydrographic Surveyor for UXO related queries

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:

- Advise on survey, navigation, positioning and subsea construction requirements
- Develop and review technical documents for survey and positioning services, including acoustic positioning
- Ensure that all necessary project specific technical elements are identified and thoroughly addressed
- Provide technical input to solicit proposals, evaluate and select survey contractors as required
- Manage survey package scope and delivery (safety, cost, quality, programme etc.)
- Review and evaluate contractor positioning procedures, design and analysis, and equipment specifications and performance
- Evaluate survey contractor performance based on technical competency and overall quality control
- Investigate and evaluate new survey equipment and systems relevant to specific project requirements
- Report writing and compilation
- Work with survey contractors to ensure that both the surface and subsea positioning equipment and survey sensors proposed for use on a project will meet the technical objectives of the project
- Monitor survey contractors and furnish essential offshore Quality Assurance/Quality Control support to ensure that the survey contractors are meeting contractual obligations and that they are performing at the required technical level
- Provide critical support in developing as-built survey documentation for projects, ensuring that data is collected and presented in a format consistent with current data management requirements.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- A sound knowledge of hydrographic surveying principles associated with subsea marine construction projects.
- A strong level of competency in project and package management relevant to survey operations including procurement, contract review and negotiation, and financial controls.
- Competency in offshore survey operations
- High regard and good knowledge of current UK health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015
- Highly motivated individual with a pro-active attitude ensuring adequate interfaces, controls and communication are established and maintained in all aspects of project management.
- A proven ability to prioritise and manage demands from multiple projects.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Membership of professional organisations relating to project management and or Hydrographic Surveying.
