Shipping and Receiving Technician

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SHIPPING AND RECEIVING TECHNICIAN to join our client in Newark, DE.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparing orders for shipment including assembly of boxes and assembly of documentation and arranging for carrier pick - up.
- Counting and packing/repacking of parts for shipment to machining vendors, customers or finished inventory.
- Operating label making equipment and production labels in accordance with SP's (Standard Practices) and packing instructions.
- Complete all paperwork, logs and SAP activities to maintain product traceability.
- Handle resin drums and other materials and equipment that weigh up to 45 lbs.
- Prepare shipment documentation for production requiring further processing off site.
- Receiving inbound freight, documenting receipt and distribution to appropriate locations.
- Successfully complete training program to operate a fork truck.
- Lead/participate in Corrective Action Investigations.
- Maintain adequate stocks of packing, printing and shipping supplies.
- Receive finished product and maintain finished product inventory.
- Pull finished product from inventory to satisfy customer orders.
- Perform housekeeping duties.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS):
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Basic computer skills; experience with SAP is highly preferred but not required
- Basic math skills.
- Experience operating a fork truck is highly preferred, but not required.
- Good interpersonal, verbal and writing skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend Standard Practice documents and other written instructions.
- Good attendance record and demonstrated reliability.
- Ability to lift approximately 45 lbs.
