Shipment Administrator Job

INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT ADMINISTRATOR needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Santa Clara, CA.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Preparation of SHIPMENT DOCUMENTATION in accordance with US and foreign government export and import regulations
- Determining daily priorities for preparation of shipment documentation based on established procedures and carrier cut-off times
- ROUTING SHIPMENTS AND/OR VERIFYING ROUTINGS to ensure appropriate carrier utilization and optimized transportation costs
- Partnering with on-site transportation supplier representatives to ensure tendered freight falls within carrier weight and lane capabilities
- Observes and manages requests from business partners to make arrangements for shipment expedites, provide tracking information and proof of deliveries.
- This is an office not a Warehouse position

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Order processing, SAP not required, strictly data entry
- Demonstrated ability to identify business process deficiencies or gaps and propose viable solutions.
- Experience and understands desktop procedures.
- Advance software skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; ie, Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
- Understands and has an ability to verbalize Virtual Factory (VF) order processes and flows.
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills:
- Displays tact and professionalism in his/her communication
- Practices effective listening techniques
- Written communication is grammatically and structurally correct
- Practices constructive confrontation skills
- Participates in effective meetings and communicates the outcome
- Clearly communicates operational issues or ideas to management
- Must demonstrate excellent customer orientation skills:

- Anticipates customers needs and proactively provides solutions
