Sharepoint Developer - Immediate Start - June 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Sharepoint Developers within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop new features in accordance with departmental procedures predominately in Microsoft SharePoint 2010;
- Customisation of SharePoint to meet departmental requirements;
- Use technical SharePoint experience to take part in solving business problems and delivering solutions;
- Use strong communication skills to discuss technical issues and concerns to non-technical stakeholders;
- Mentor junior staff;
- Complete technical tasks that have been assigned to you;
- Build and configure SharePoint solutions;
- Provide estimates for planning purposes;
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in SharePoint solutions; and
- Assist with strategic planning.

SKILLS:

- Four or more years' of SharePoint experience and a deep understanding of ASP.NET (C#);
- Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across various levels within an organisation;
- Client facing experience;
- One year of AGILE experience;
- Excellent Front End skills (HTML/JavaScript/CSS);
- Well-developed knowledge and skills in analysis, design and programming in a web applications environment using Microsoft development tools and products in particular: SharePoint 2010; Visual Studio .NET; C#; Javascript, HTML, and XML; ASP.NET MVC; and SQL Server 2008.
