Sharepoint Administrator

The contract is with a well known consultancy to be on an assignment at a large European site in central Brussels as follows:

The SharePoint administrator will be part of the Local System Administrator (LSA) team who manage the clients infrastructure. Although the main task of the LSA will be to manage the SharePoint environment and supporting services (eg Back End SQL Server), the person will also contribute to the delivery of the normal tasks performed by the LSA team, such as storage management, (other) database management and backup routines.

FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Maintain/enhance current SharePoint installation.
This includes investigation and fixing of faults, develop/maintain farm configuration, install and maintain add-ons like web parts, maintain security configurations, etc. Housekeeping activities like monitoring timer jobs, health check alerts are also included.

The client has implemented an MS Project server that should be also supported and maintained by the SharePoint LSA.

Develop and maintain current InfoPath installation.

Maintain Microsoft SOL databases.
The SharePoint administrator should also be able to maintain the part of MS SQL server that is related to SharePoint. The MS SQL server administration part will increase with the skills of the candidate. Additional tasks like creating a custom report for MS Project server are also part of the initial duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and experience.
We require a minimum 2 years of proven hands on experience with SharePoint administration. Experience and understanding of the SharePoint Architecture, capabilities of SharePoint Server and SharePoint Designer are mandatory.

A Microsoft certification:
MCITP SharePoint administrator would be an asset. The candidate must have an understanding of Microsoft SQL server at a level that allows him to perform his/her duties.
