Sharepoint Administrator

The SHAREPOINT ADMINISTRATOR in this CONTRACT TO HIRE position is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of large, highly utilized Servers to maximize reliability and recoverability. Candidates must have A+ CERTIFICATION. The Analyst Level uses professional concepts and company policies and procedures to solve a variety of problems.

OVERVIEW

- Installs, configures, and maintains the server environment.
- Analyzes and resolves problems associated with server hardware and applications software.
- Detects, diagnoses, and reports server problems.
- Sets up user accounts on company's Servers and runs necessary system backups.
- Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.
- Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate section.
- Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments.
- Develops interpersonal and team skills.
- May work on a project team as a participant or responsible for portion of work or project.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Requires a technical degree or 3-5 years of related work experience
- Strong documentation skills
- Must have A+ certification
- Working knowledge of and experience supporting Exchange 2007/2010 production implementations for organizations using the Outlook client and Outlook Web Access in a multi-server, enterprise level environment
- Demonstrated understanding of Exchange ActiveSync, AutoDiscover, and Web Services
- Expert level understanding of SMTP message flow
- Mastery of basic security concepts relating to messaging as well as anti-virus and anti-spam
- Working knowledge of Active Directory and its relationship to Exchange
- Working knowledge of core Active Directory concepts like DNS, Replication, and Group Policy
- Understanding of basic identity management concepts
- Attention to detail and experience producing documentation
- Strong foundation in Systems and Applications Administration principles, including systems automation, change management, capacity planning, documentation, etc.
- Experience leading technology implementation projects on an enterprise scale
- Proficiency using Scripting languages (PowerShell and/or VBS)
- Demonstrated strong multi-tasking skills
- Experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired
- Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing technical information to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels in the organization
