Settlements Analyst - LME - Investment Bank - City Based

Global Investment Bank, based in the City of London has an immediate requirement for a highly experienced Settlements Analyst to join their LME Back Office team. This will be an initial 12 month contract with a good chance of extension.

PAST EXPERIENCE

- Excellent level of experience needed in Margining and Settlement activities, LME background and knowledge of our market is essential.
- Strong Collateral Management experience is essential
- Must have an analytical mind and the ability to problem solve.
- Experience with MS Office Excel a necessity.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Cash (and metal) settlement of Base Metals derivative trades.
- Trade/cash reconciliations.
- Reconciliation of House, OSA and ISA accounts held at the LME, external bank accounts and client accounts held by the bank.
- LME Clear collateral management and reporting.
- Coordinating with the Base Metals deliveries team in order to manage payment prior to physical delivery.
- Account setup (SSI's) and credit line configuration across all Back Office systems.
- Instructing and ensuring the payment of client margin calls.
- Payment of VAT invoices, brokerage charges and fees.
- Creating, amending and improving Excel based reports.
- Liaising with internal teams within the bank including downstream global accounting teams based in remote offices.
- Being the Base Metals point of contact for all settlement/payment queries.
- Liaising with external clients to ensure an efficient service and timely dealing of queries.
- Set up new client account across all OPER Systems, manage Segregated ISA/OSA client accounts.
- Assist Bangalore with all Fee and Trial Balance Issues
