Settlements Analyst (get Exposure to IR/FX Derivatives)

Major FS client requires a number of settlements analysts at varying experience levels for both client facing and legal/drafting responsibilities. Terrific opportunity to gain exposure to both Interest Rate (IR) and FX derivatives products - although any previous IR or FX derivative experience would be desirable. The client will also consider graduates with relevant finance, risk or accounting degrees - looking for extremely bright, highly communicative grads who could take full advantage of this rare opportunity. We're also keen to talk to people with operational backgrounds in Investment Banking operations like derivatives, reconciliations or settlements (even in the likes of equities or loans) to join this busy team based in Glasgow. The successful candidates will get involved with (and receive training in) the likes of IRS/Money market/FRA and MTN products, current and aged cash breaks, tools like Intellimatch and SUMMIT, as well as resolving under/over payments.

Will suit candidates with:- - 12mths to 8yrs investment operations experience
- Degree in finance related discipline
- Excellent communication skills and can-do attitude
- Any credit, interest-rate or FX derivative settlements.
- Any regulatory experience eg Dodd Frank, FATCA would be highly beneficial.

Most of all we're looking for bright candidates who have an excellent work ethic and communication skills. Excellent opportunities here to be trained in new areas (eg derivatives) or gain your first foothold in the financial sector after graduation. All roles will initially be on a contract basis but there will be opportunities to become a permanent team member for those performing well.
