Service Vendor Manager/Commercial Manager

The Vendor Manager will act as support to the Head of Resourcing to build the technical information and work packages necessary for the Group to run more strategically in delivering capability without increasing headcount.
Carry out data manipulation and interpretation to research business needs, including analysis of current skill sets and unit area requirements within Technology group, to provide the technical capability information that will allow the right suppliers to be sought by procurement.
To be the technical enabler to build a supplier list that meets the Time, Cost and Quality objectives of Technology Group.
To provide the technical information from Tech Group delivery units required by procurement for; IT supplier tenders and work package templates that support the overall workforce capability strategy for Technology Group.
Progress and track work package or supplier requests to get 40% use (instead of contractor headcount increase) that delivers high value cost and efficiency savings and benefits.
Candidates must be ITIL trained and accredited or at a minimum, a strong understanding of ITIL.
Excellent planning and organisational skills.
Excellent IT skills with extensive practical experience of the Microsoft Office Suite (inc Outlook, Word, Excel and Publisher).
Good understanding of HR and Procurement processes for make/buy decisions.
Experience of creating and implementing Make/Buy strategies.
It is required that candidates hold SC Level as a minimum, DV would be an advantage.
