Service Manager Surgery

I am recruiting for one Real Staffing's key clients based in the Midlands who are seeking an Interim General Manager for Ophthalmology on an initial 3 month contract

The essential skills I am looking for include:

-Previous operational management experience in the NHS within an Acute specialty.
-Ophthalmology experience desirable but not essential.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the development and delivery of the Ophthalmology directorate's strategies and service development plans.
- Alongside Directorate Manager responsible for performance management for a directorate, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to support the effective monitoring of activity and finances.
-Responsibility for the efficient and effective use of resources within the Directorate including development of robust recovery planning where deviation occurs.
-Responsible for developing, maintaining and administering the change management process throughout the directorate and in the Division as a whole.
-Advise the Clinical Director on compliance with Corporate Governance, systems and processes.
