Service Component Architect/SOA Project Architect Job

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a SERVICE COMPONENT ARCHITECT/PROJECT ARCHITECT to join our client in Seattle, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:

This ideal Service Component Architect has a background in solutions architecture as well as several years of development experience. The Platform's media publishing system (MPX) toolkit is a SOA-based suite of services that can be customized and augmented to fit customer needs. The Service Component Architect is responsible for the customization of individual services and the design of auxiliary services based on a pre-defined overall architecture of the intended customer solution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with a solutions architect to understand the overall proposed architecture and the requirements of the service component.
- Prepare functional specifications to meet these requirements that can be understood by internal development teams.
- Work closely with development team members to estimate and implement the work for a given project using Agile methodology.
- Function as the product owner of a service component customization.
- Drive execution of a project from inception to release.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- A Bachelor Degree in computer science or a related field is required.
- Proven experience with SOA, design patterns, web services technologies, and UI design.
- Proven experience as a technical leader.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the design and development of complex applications.
- At least three (3) years of software experience at an engineering level. Proficiency in Java, .NET, C#, Javascript, and/or SQL highly desired.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ownership for the success of projects from inception to rollout and maintenance.
- Prior professional services and solutions architecture experience is highly desired.
