Server Support Technician

For this position with a world-renowned computer manufacturing company, you will be performing a wide variety of server support activities in a large-scale, high-performance computing environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Weekly pull of backup tapes in the Data Centers
- Enterprise Backup Software
- Data retention and offsite storage processes
- Data center server infrastructure on-site support
- Server OS builds, lands and decommissions
- Identifying, diagnosing, and resolving issues
- Creating/maintaining documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

- 3-5 years of recent working experience in a data center environment
- Veritas NetBackup experience, or equivalent
- Infrastructure support abilities
- Fiber connectivity (knowledge of, nice to have)
- SAN (EMC, or other- knowledge of, nice to have)
- NAS (network filers. knowledge of, nice to have)
- Windows OS server break-fix experience
- Server platform hardware break-fix experience
- Strong network troubleshooting (Client Server interconnectivity NOT Router/switch side)
- Well versed at following business processes and operational procedures
- Regular hours, 8am - 5pm shift Monday- Friday
- Must be able to pass 10 year criminal background check, drug screen
- Must be capable of lifting 70lbs
