Server Specialist - Windows OS

As the Windows Server Specialist within Information Services, provide support to business staff.

Work within an Intel hardware and Microsoft Server and Desktop operating systems over a Cisco based network.

This IT department develops and provides advice on strategies, policies, procedures and programs for information technology services provided by the branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- - Undertake technical projects as a recognised Senior Technical Specialist
- Undertake technical implementation of Microsoft IT Server and XP/Windows 7 Desktop solutions and designs
- Provide providing end to end IT solutions
- Translate business needs into IT requirements
- Provide troubleshooting assistance, problem analysis and diagnosis, through to fault resolution
- Provide Senior Technical Specialist advice in MS Server 2003 and 2008 technology platforms as a source of technical expertise
- Resolve escalated calls submitted by first level or from other internal and external business groups
- Assist with change management work to upgrade or modify IT systems, services or networks
- Make appropriate design changes to documentation
- Provide technical advice to other ISB staff and participate in skills transfer as required and mentor junior staff.

SELECTION CRITERIA DUE 8TH APRIL 2013

- MS Windows Server 2008 based environment.
- Build, deploy and support MS Windows server and Desktop systems.
- Manage a complex virtual server environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.

NEGATIVE VETTING 1 level security clearance is ideal though Baseline clearance is a minimum.

Australian citizenship is a requirement of this position.
