Senior .NET Developer, C#, Visual Studio 2013, Team Foundation Server, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, Sc Security Cleared required by our government department based in South Wales, commutable from Cardiff, Newport.

Due to the urgency of the role a minimum of SC Security Clearance is required or candidates must be willing to undertake clearance

Essential skills: Performs a broad range of technical work, often complex and non routine, in the following technologies: NET Framework (preferably 4.0) C# Visual Studio 2013 Team Foundation Server ASP.NET MVC 3+ Web Services, WCF, SOAP, REST SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 Unit Testing

Takes responsibility for the design, coding, testing and documentation of particularly large, complex or mission critical programs. Provides advice in some or all aspects of the programming methods, tools and/or standards used in the organisation.

Desirable skills: XML, Entity Framework,Experience of BDD or TDD

Hands on development, integration and configuration of systems as required; Evaluate development requests and changes; manage the development team to complete preliminary analysis, evaluation and development of the request/change. Provide quality/technical assurance/audits to ensure that software development processes are adhered to. Provide a pro-active service to the organisation towards investigating software advances and developments; identify and co-ordinate activities to improve internal knowledge and understanding of technology advances. Evaluate and review programming methods and tools used for the organisation. Provide expert advice on some or all aspects of the programming methods, tools and/or standards used in the organisation. Ensure produced software and solutions are supportable, including documentation, knowledge transfer and transition requirements/documentation.
