Senior Workstation/Server Administrator

We have an exciting opening for a SR. WORKSTATION/SERVER ADMINISTRATOR position with our progressive client in the Columbia, SC area.

This is a 12 MONTH CONTRACT position with an great opportunity for EXCELLENT BENEFITS.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include:

-- Monitor and close Service Request for requests that require a greater level of effort/work and initiate the necessary RFC's/Work Requests when applicable
-- Initiate RFCs for changes, modifications, packaging, and deployment related to Workstation and Citrix upgrades, new software implementations, or large software maintenance efforts
-- Attend weekly Plan Team Analyst meeting to provide input/updates on change sheet/project efforts, break-fix, and upcoming changes
-- Attend and contribute to the WSTS Team Meeting to discuss current week's efforts and future week efforts
-- Attend bi-weekly meetings Citrix Team meeting to discuss imaging, packaging, and changes to resolve break-fix issues
-- Attend weekly Change Management Meeting and the weekly I/S Release Management Meeting as require
-- Attend and contribute to the weekly Global Issues meeting
-- Attend [in-person] Project Kick-Off Meetings and participate in meetings throughout the effort
-- Provide oversight of the end-to-end processing of RFC's and Projects throughout all phases

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

-- Applicable Workstation, server, and/or application support experience to include software and hardware troubleshooting. (REQUIRED, 4 YEARS)
-- Experience Workstation troubleshooting (XP and Windows 7). (REQUIRED, 3 YEARS)
-- MCP certification or equivalent knowledge. (REQUIRED)
-- Experience Triaging/troubleshooting application issues. (REQUIRED)
-- Experience providing input to the Packaging Engineers. (PREFERRED)
-- Experience with Application packaging. (HIGHLY DESIRED)
-- Experience with Citrix. (HIGHLY DESIRED)
