For our client in Zurich, we are looking for a Senior Windows Application Engineer.
Key Accountabilities:
* Implementing, supporting and automating of business applications on the Windows platform
* Working with IIS, Tomcat, SQL, AD, 3rd party software in a secured environment
* Integration and migration of existing applications backends to existing Firewall zone environment, Certificate Authorities, PKI infrastructure, centralised SQL Servers
* Produce design concepts and design specifications for new applications
Skills:
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Environments (SQL, AD/LDAP, IIS) on MSCE level (or equivalent), Windows Server OS and Client OS
* Familiarity with web architectures including: web application Servers, encryption, n-tier development/deployment strategies, databases, security mechanisms, trusted directories, etc.
* Integration and implementation skills in context of Firewall zone environment, Certificate Authorities, PKI infrastructure
* VBS, Powershell, Automation of operational procedures, application and technical monitoring and alerting.
* Knowhow of high availability solutions, disaster recovery technologies and integration methodologies
* A customer-focused and service-oriented mindset
* Experience with System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and/or Windows Server 2012 is considered a plus
Required experience:
* Higher university degree or similar
* 4-6 year of experience in Windows Engineering
* Fluent in German and English
* Engineer with experience in financial environment and Avaloq experience is a plus.
