Senior Web Developer

Yoh has a contract (contract-to-hire available also) opportunity for a SENIOR (SR.) WEB DEVELOPER to join our client in Seattle, WA.

JOB OVERVIEW:
A web developer at our client is a driving force in bringing highly innovative creative concepts to life online or on the desktop. The expectations are high, but so are the rewards. A web developer brings to the role strong analytical skills, solution-oriented development knowledge, and a collaborative attitude that seeks to enable great creativity with groundbreaking technology. He or she collaborates closely with development leads, Back End developers, web strategists, the user experience team, the creative team, and project and account managers to translate creative visions into functional applications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Programs online, mobile-capable, and/or desktop user interfaces for a variety of platforms.
- Provides in-depth updates to websites and applications on the presentation layer and connects the presentation layer to business and data layers.
- Implements tracking and measurement technology on developed applications.
- Implements performance and search engine optimization best practices.
- Performs unit testing and self-quality-assurance testing on applications prior to handoff to the QA team.

Job Qualifications:
- HTML/CSS development and best practices (Expert)
- JavaScript development and best practices, including commonly used libraries (jQuery, Backbone, etc.) (Intermediate, Advanced a Plus).
- Strong eye for application performance and Front End programming security (prevent XSS and other exploits in presentation layer code) (Intermediate).
- Proven ability to work with standard graphics management packages such as Adobe Photoshop, as well as serve as a consultative resource for designers and user experience architects on the feasibility of interface designs (Expert).
- Knowledge of Internet protocols and their uses in application development (Intermediate)
- Knowledge of version control concepts and collaborative development practice using a tool set such as Subversion or Git (Intermediate).
- The following "intangibles" are a huge plus in candidate selection:
- Excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
- Conceptual understanding and proficiency in various CMS tools (Drupal, WordPress, others)
