SENIOR VMWARE ADMINISTRATOR

1 YEAR+ CONTRACT

Our direct client is seeking a senior-level VMware Administrator/Architect to assist with continued development of our VMware virtual infrastructure initiatives.

EXPERIENCE:

- 3+ years of experience designing, deploying and supporting vCenter and vSphere 4/5 environments in a global enterprise data center
- Hands-on advanced experience with VMware enterprise products including vCloud Director, vShield, vCenter Orchestration, vCenter Operations, and Site Recovery Manager
- Advanced experience deploying and supporting vSphere running on multiple storage vendors technologies and protocols (ie IBM SVC, NetApp, EMC/fiber channel and iSCSI attached/CIFS, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, and NFS )
- Extensive experience supporting Windows and Linux operating systems running as Virtual Machines
- Understanding of Cloud Computing technologies and implementation/operating experience in virtualized/cloud environments.
- Solid understanding of networking, DNS, VLANs, network segmentation, OSI model
- VCP certification(s) strongly preferred
- Scripting and Automation experience in VMware virtual infrastructure
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to perform and deliver on-time well in a dynamic environment
- Ability to follow and adhere to policies, procedures and standards
- Proven analytical, problem solving skills, strong team player
