Senior Validation Engineer/Specialist

A consulting company, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, is in need of a Sr. Validation Engineer to lead multiple teams. The company works solely with Pharmaceutical and Medical Device companies throughout the greater Detroit area. The Sr. Validation Engineer will have the following responsibilities: - Lead and manage multiple project teams - Ensure project teams meet deadlines on time and in budget - Work directly with clients, vendors, management and technical peers to assist with design, testing and approach. - Develop and present technical findings - Perform independent validation, primarily utilities, equipment, and facilities and/or commissioning work - Demonstrate troubleshooting and critical thinking skills - Ability to independently develop methods and specifications - Asses and develop technical aspects of validation and commissioning activities including the following: Master Plans, System Acceptance Final Reports, Risk Assessments, Audits, GAP Analysis and Remediation plans. - Effectively contribute to the success of project teams by providing technical expertise and capability. - Provide contributions to business development activities - Oversee team members career development The Sr. Validation Engineer must meet the following requirements: - B.S. in Engineering or a related field - Minimum of 5 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry with a focus on Validation - Significant experience in facilities, utilities, and facilities validation - Familiarity with commissioning activities - Ability to work independent - Ability to mentor junior employees - Excellent oral and written skills - Effective presentation skills - Ability to develop and maintain client relationships - Team oriented - Self motivated This is a 6 month contract to hire position.
