TITLE: Senior Test Engineer

LOCATION: Dublin West

DURATION: 6 months

DAILY RATE: Negotiable

JOB DESCRIPTION:

My client is looking for a Senior Test Engineer to work within an Agile Feature Team to design, develop & execute tests for their applications. Testing will involve both manual & automated tests on Front End GUIs and Back End Servers. They are looking for someone who is able to take ownership of specific complex testing tasks, and take them to completion.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Write test cases from requirements & user stories.
- Automate Functional, Load, Soak, and Stress Tests.
- Ensure efficient construction and maintenance of automated tests.
- Analyse failing tests and defects and clearly report with evidence via JIRA.
- Interact with developers, architects & SMEs to discuss features & resolve defects.
- Follow their Agile Process as a Feature Team member.
- Mentor, coach and review test engineers' work.
- Design, implement & maintain processes & process documentation.
- Review user & customer documentation.
- Investigate, evaluate & introduce tools, technologies & techniques.
- Occasionally execute interoperability & acceptance testing on a customer site.
- Occasionally deal with customer issues.
- Use frameworks such as Selenium, Arquillian, TestNG, Junit, or equivalent.

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

- Computer Science or Software Engineering related degree.
- 5+ years' industry testing experience including test automation.
- Good working knowledge of Linux and/or UNIX.
- Scripting or Programming Languages such as Ruby, Python, Perl, PHP, Shell, C, Java.
- Excellent written & oral communication.
- Experience of Functional, Load, Soak, and Stress Tests.
- Version Control: such as Git, SVN, CVS, Clearcase.
