Senior Teradata Consultant

The Senior Teradata Consultant will be working with the Senior Project Manager and team in Dubai at their telco customer's site to migrate Oracle Data Warehouse with the exact same data model into Teradata. They are looking into cLDM which is why cLDM background would be very helpful. Then there is ongoing development of models in Teradata and also ensuring the customer is getting the right advice from Teradata consultants.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- More than 4-5 years of Teradata experience, ideally at least few months with Teradata version 14.
- Strong telco experience, at least 1-2 years (cLDM experience is a bonus)
- A strong technical background with focus on: Architect, Data Modeling, Performance Tuning, Tuning.
- ETL experience is good, of course, and almost always  will be there, but for us does not need to be the main focus of the profile. We are looking more for a Teradata Master and someone that really understands the Teradata Physical implementation.
- Self starter, lively yet not chaotic, well presented

TECHNICAL SKILLS

- At least 4 years experience working with Teradata (with expertise in Teradata Database 14)
- Experience with Teradata utilities: TPT, BTEQ, TD Design Studio, TD SQL Assistant
- Experience designing/tuning Teradata DWH with big data volumes
- Understanding of Teradata Appliance Physical Implementation and Tuning: UPIs, NUPIs, USIs, NUSIs, JIs, AJIs, etc,
- Previous demonstrated data modelling experience
- Highly desirable to have some telco experience
- Highly desirable to have experience with a BI tool (ie SAP BusinessObjects)
