Senior Telecom Network Support Analyst Job

SENIOR TELECOM NETWORK SUPPORT ANALYST needed for a LONG-TERM CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Charlotte, NC.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS POSITION DOES NOT ALLOW FOR WORKING REMOTELY, AS SUCH THE INCUMBENT MUST BE ABLE TO WORK ONSITE IN CLIENT'S CHARLOTTE, NC LOCATION.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Position provides day to day support for incidents and outages across entire enterprise data network infrastructure with a core focus on providing support for NETMOTION.
- Position also includes (but is not limited to) troubleshooting and configuration of network equipment such as various platforms of Routers, Switches, Firewalls, wireless gear, VPN gear, WAN accelerators, and load balancers.
- Position supports all modules of Cisco enterprise network design.
- Position serves as IP escalation support (Tier 2/Tier 3).
- Serves as Sr. Network Engineer/Sr. Telecom Data Network Operations Support Analyst.
- Monitors, manages, and maintains enterprise data network. Documents work performed to resolve issues. Maintains up to date documentation of the network infrastructure. Contributes frequently to team knowledge base.
- Employs monitoring tools to proactively identify potential network issues.
- Participates in on-call rotation duties. Timely resolution to trouble tickets.
- Configure, install and maintain Cisco LAN/WAN Switches and Routers. Configure, install and maintain Cisco Wireless LAN access points.
- Troubleshooting wireless networks.
- Proven ability to speak and write about complex technical topics to a less technical audience.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Position requires intermediate to advanced Routing & Switching troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
- Candidate should possess a very strong foundation in TCP/IP and related protocols. Must possess ability to troubleshoot network issues at layers 1-4 of the OSI model.
- Current CCNA for candidate with strong NETMOTION background.
- Current CCNP certification preferred (minimum CCNP Switch if working toward CCNP).

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education: Two-year associates degree in relevant field (four-year degree preferable). Combination of education plus equivalent work experience okay.
- Hands on experience supporting NETMOTION or equivalent "always-on" VPN technology.
- Hands on experience solving network outages.
- Experience in data network problem isolation and resolution.
- Experience troubleshooting network traffic across Routers, Switches, Firewalls, and VPN infrastructure.
- Experience verifying/analysing network traffic employing the following: EPC, TCP dumps, Span sessions, Wireshark, and/or Observer.
- Experience providing end to end network support for large enterprise.
- Experience assisting other teams with the analysis of applications problems.
- Experience troubleshooting across Firewall infrastructure with various third party tools.
- Experience troubleshooting foundational protocols such as DNS, DHCP, and ARP.
- Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a predominantly Cisco network environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and leadership recommending improvement opportunities.
- Demonstrated leadership in identifying process deficiencies.
- Demonstrated commitment to personal and team success.
