Senior Technical Support Consultant - Microsoft Active Directory

Our client, the global leader in desktop computing, seeks a senior Active Directory Technical Support Consultant. The role is based in Reading, but will require 4-5 days per week to be spent on client site.

Identity Premier Field Engineers implement, operate, tune and troubleshoot Windows Active Directory Enterprise Solutions. Experience of Microsoft Identity products such as Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory Federated Services, Forefront Identity Manager and Microsoft AAD Sync is advantageous.

Key relationships are with customers' 3rd/4th line Windows infrastructure teams, supporting Identity and Access. Premier Field Engineers also find themselves working with engineering, architectural and management teams. Strong interpersonal skills, self-reliance and business acumen are needed.

Depth knowledge required in a number of the following technology areas:

Active Directory Domain Services design and implementation
Active Directory Domain Services features
Active Directory Domain Services replication and performance
Active Directory Domain Services security
Active Directory Domain Services troubleshooting and administration
Active Directory Federated Services
Experience in Active Directory Domain Services disaster recovery
Forefront Identity Manager
Fundamental networking knowledge - IP, DHCP, DNS, routing etc.
Group Policy implementation, design and troubleshooting
Hybrid Identity
Identity and Security
Microsoft AAD Sync
Microsoft Azure Active Directory
Microsoft Identity Manager
Microsoft Office 365
Windows PowerShell module for Active Directory
