ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is currently seeking a Senior Systems Admin - UNIX/Windows for Direct-Hire opportunity in Irving, TX. The Senior Admin will configure Windows and UNIX Servers to maintain, manage, and monitor report security and system events, including the installation of Snare Agents on Windows Systems. The Senior Admin will deploy, maintain, monitor and support all Windows infrastructure-related activities of the organization. The Senior Admin must have experience building and configuring Windows and UNIX systems (hardware, software, file systems), work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions in a project oriented environment. The Senior Admin will manage a shared ticket queue of daily system requests.

Administer/Design/Architect Windows and UNIX Servers Environments
Design/Deploy/Monitor/Maintain/Develop/Upgrade/Support of all Windows and UNIX/Linux Servers/Hardware/Software/Peripherals

Benchmark/Analyze/Report on the Windows and VMware Infrastructure/Systems
Practice Asset Management for Windows Hardware/Software/Equipment

Act as a Member of a Ticket Queue System - Address/Resolve Support Requests
Network Protocols/Standards/Data Privacy Laws, etc.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience with the following skill sets
Windows 2003/2008 Server Operating Systems
MS Windows Architecture/System Level Resources
Active Directory - Group Policies/User Creation, etc.
MS Clustering - Server/IIS6/IIS7 Clustering
Virtualization - VMware ESX/VMware ESXi (preferred)/vSphere/Virtual Center/HyperV, etc.
Citrix Administration/Deployment/Management
Application of WebServices/SOA - Service Oriented Architecture/Database Performance/Networking, etc.
UNIX/Linux Operating Systems - RedHat/Solaris/AIX/Oracle Linux, etc.
Tools/Methods for UNIX/Linux Administration
Files Systems - EXT2/EXT3/GFS/NFS/XFS, etc.
Design/Build Reference Implementations of Components/Interfaces
BASH Shell Scripting and/or Perl - Performance Tuning/Advanced Troubleshooting of Systems Issues
Backup/Recovery Methodologies/Strategies
Distributed Messaging/Email/Middleware/Application Integration Content and Systems Management, etc.
