Senior Sybase Admin

Sybase Admin (senior) wanted within an international bank in Zurich.

YOUR TASKS:

- Performing technical management tasks and coordinating issues and projects primarily involving installation and configuration
- Participating in the resolution of system and performance issues
- Supporting the development teams on DBA tasks
- Providing advice and assistance in developing and progressing the infrastructure environments
- Working closely with other team members locally and globally to provide understanding across all components of the database environments

YOUR EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

- 3+ years of experience in Sybase ASE database and Sybase Replication Server administration preferably within the financial sector
- Proven experience in Sybase Replication Server/Sybase IQ
- Excellent knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating system, SQL and basic Scripting language (Perl, Shell)
- Solid experience of MS SQL Server 2005/2008 as well as Patrol and Control-M
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus
