Senior Subsea Controls Engineer

We are currently recruiting for a global Oil and Gas consultancy who is offering an excellent career opportunity for experienced Subsea Controls Engineers. The position of Senior Subsea Controls Engineer offers a fantastic opportunity on a long-term contract basis with the potential for further extension (staff may be considered if requested), with a major Oil and Gas consultancy in Aberdeen, on an excellent package.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the providing operational support (Onshore/Offshore), project delivery, design and vendor management within the subsea operations department. The Senior Subsea Controls Engineer will play a key role in the Subsea Controls department which provides Controls services for Subsea Operations and external clients.

The main activities of the role will include:

*Deputise for the Lead Controls Engineer
*Provide technical leadership for the Controls team
*Develop a Controls Group strategy/business plan to grow the team over the next 18 months
*Identify new technology/software to improve our capabilities and our client service
*Manage regular review meetings.
*Supervise others within integrity team, direct work and ensure deliverables are met
*Provide checking level for approval of reports and assist in management of quality

To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate experience in the following:

*Extensive experience in Subsea Control System Design (Development process)
*Previously held a Senior/Lead Controls Role in another organisation
*In depth knowledge of Controls system components
*Working knowledge of electrical/hydraulic distribution
*Experience of liaising with an operator and extensive Client contact
*High Level of Communication Skills
*Offshore experience (Platform/DSV) (preferable)
*Fault Finding and Diagnostic experience(preferable)
