Senior SQL DBA (Database Administrator) - Retail - Perm

A leading online retail organisation based in West London are looking to hire a Senior SQL DBA (Database Administrator) with experience in developing large scale, high traffic web applications and batch processing systems including the ability to optimise for application and database performance.

The successful Senior SQL Developer will be working with business analysts, DBA's, testers, developers, and infrastructure technicians; and will be required to design, code, and test software solutions. Your ability to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, as well as work independently while managing your own priorities is a key requirement of this position.

The organisation are currently transitioning their existing web applications to a Service Orientated Architecture and would prefer candidates with experience in this area to be able to help and advise.

Responsibilities:

- Design, code and unit test enhancements to existing systems, based on design specifications provided or those documented by you.
- Provide support for the maintenance and implementation of enhancements to existing application
- Excellent knowledge of SQL Server and experience developing enterprise level databases
- Have excellent knowledge of the full MS .Net framework (C#) and how to use it to build web applications
- Excellent knowledge of designing and building .NET WCF/REST Services
- Experience in structured systems development environment, designing and building web applications and analysing & documenting application design requirements for coding
- Ecommerce experience would be an advantage

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
