Senior Software Engineer, Team Leader. £Negotiable. DOE.

I am currently working with a financial organisation in the recruitment of a Senior Software Engineer with experience of team leading.

My client is looking for a candidate with a solid background in the development of software applications; ideally this will have been within the financial sector however if you do not possess knowledge of financial topics training will be provided. This position will allow the candidate to work alongside the BA's to analyse client needs, design and implement applications and write the documentation of the new functionality.

This team lead position calls for a candidate that has experience of being an effective people manager and will enable the candidate to be involved in the teaching of internal courses to team members. Strong communication skills are essential as the candidate will be liaising with various areas of the business and will be involved in coaching new members of the team.

My client is looking for a candidate with a team lead background with a Masters in Software Engineering or a similar IT field. Alongside this additional education in economics would be an advantage. Professional experience of the applicant should include:
* Team Lead/Team Management
* Development of complex applications
* Skilled in one or more high level programming languages such as Java or .NET
* Technical knowledge of databases such as Oracle, PL/SQL)
* Commercial experience within the financial industry
