Senior Software Engineer - Java

My client, a global bank based in Switzerland are currently seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to become part of an exciting and dynamic software development team and join a true market leader in banking. The initial contract duration is 3-4 months with the option of extension beyond this.

Skills/experience required:

* Ideal candidates should come from a highly technical background and have previous experience working within the financial sector.
* Messaging experience is essential (such as previous experience with JMS, EMS).
* Experience with Big Data, J2EE, JavaScript, Angular JS, SQL, High Frequency, or Low Latency would be advantageous but are not mandatory.
* German Speaking/Writing is essential in order to be able to communicate effectively in a German-speaking team. English language skills would also be useful but is not mandatory.
* the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
