Senior ServiceNow Project Manager - ServiceNow Discovery
PLEASE NOTE: ServiceNow experience is essential, ServiceNow Discovery highly desirable. Candidates with neither need not apply.
Leading global pharmaceutical client require a Senior Service Now project Manager for a long-term contract in Basel.
Business Purpose
We are seeking for an IT Senior Project Manager to lead the Service Now Discovery deployment.
Reporting:
The position reports to Core and Foundation Integration Lead.
Role Description:
* Build and detail project plan for Service Now Discovery
* Lead the delivery effort and account for milestone targets according to the project plan.
* Align with Configuration Management Database (CMDB) team and meet CMDB requirements in Configuration Items (CI) and attribute ServiceNow Discovery.
* Coordinate customization of Discovery probes and support development of requirements.
* Represent Discovery at Technical Design Review.
* Develop exclusion and inclusion processes for CI's.
* Interface with Technical Infrastructure Services (TIS) IT function on deployment(s).
* Build and deploy Mid-Server technology in a qualified state across identified data centers.
* Enable decision making and direction setting.
* Ensure Discovery concept deployment is aligned, integrated and uniform. Retain focus to achieve the deployment schedule.
* Support workshops and trainings with stakeholders as required.
* Report on the status of deliverables and progress against plan which feeds into the ITSM and wider Program Governance model.
* Produce periodic report to highlight risks, key decisions & progress. Work with Project management to assist with tracking & escalation of issues. Monitor and drive issue resolution and escalate out of line situations.
* Commit to and embody company beliefs and values of the company.
Key Skills and Experience Required:
Business Experience:
* Profound knowledge in IT Project Management methodologies and best practices with at least 5+ years' experience.
* Multiple successful project cycle(s) in delivering/leading IT concept deployments.
* Keen awareness & good practice approaches for IT concept deployments of enterprise scale.
* Experience of taking ownership for delivery of IT concept deployments with minimal management support.
* Track record of dealing with multiple hands-on tasks.
* Working business knowledge of consulting services (including working with offshore development teams).
* Educated to a minimum of higher national diploma level.
* Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery of advantage.
Personal Skills Required:
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
* Strong outcome-driven mindset.
* Strong customer focus and service attitude.
* High personal motivation and energy.
* Strong personal organizational skills
* Good communication skills - both written and verbal.
