Senior Security Engineer - Luxembourg/Belgium

SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER - LUXEMBOURG/BELGIUM

Languages:

ENGLISH with FRENCH and/or DUTCH.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- European Citizenship, must be able to pass a background check, valid clearance to EU Secret and NATO secret is a plus.
- Strong experience in cryptography, encryption technologies and authentication schemes (3DES, AES, hashing, PGP, Win EFS, PKI, Smartcard, SSL certificates, LDAP, AD, TACACS) and the process of key management.
- IT Security organization and processes: in depth knowledge of vulnerability management, patch management, Security event management, privileged user management, fire id management, password management, Antivirus management, Security policy compliance.
- Operating systems: Windows, Unix, Linux, VMware.
- DBMS and Operating Systems Security settings as well as O.S. hardening.
- High skills in Network architecture and design: Firewall (Checkpoint).
- IDS/IPS, IP Sec VPN/SSL-VPN, NAC, creation of Security concepts, routing/switching & TCP/IP.
- Thorough understanding of log analysis, intrusion detection and prevention.
- Network traffic tools.
- Proxy and content filtering systems, Antivirus and antispyware (Bluecoat Proxy-cache, SmartFilter, IronPort, Finjan, Sophos, Symantec).
- Security governance: concepts and guidelines.
- Audit/hacking techniques and penetration testing.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:

- Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information.
- Identify and define system security requirements.
- Collaborate with the architect on system security design.
- Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
- Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
- Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
- Ensure that the company knows as much as possible, as quickly as possible about security incidents.
- Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes and propositions for further system security enhancement.
