Sr. SDET: The Engineer is responsible for assigned QA and testing tasks throughout the software development life cycle with an emphasis on technology, automation, and test process. This includes test direct contribution in the analysis phase and feedback to the Scrum team and its customers. The technical skill set of the QA Engineer will be put to use in designing and implementing the quality and testing tasks for validation of code changes on the front and Back End of the web/application Servers. This also includes test automation, database test automation, and Technical Automation Design documentation as well as other special projects.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Create manual and automated test cases that provide coverage of the project code lines.
- Review test designs and test cases and provide feedback.
- Implement automation testing tasks which may include test cases, test data, integration to the automation framework.
- Execute manual and automated test cases.
- Troubleshooting, defect isolation and reporting.
- Provide regular status and appropriate, timely communications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- BS in Computer Science/Engineering, Software Engineering, IS, or other related field and/or at least 4 years equivalent combination of experience and/or training as a Software QA Engineer
- Demonstrated knowledge of the software development life cycle, especially in the analysis of software design and code development and its application to testing
- Demonstrated ability to write automated test scripts, code in C# and understand complex .NET projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and RDBMS concepts
- Demonstrated knowledge of n-tiered web and Application Server technology a must
- Ability to ramp up quickly with the teams processes
- Extremely flexible and willing to switch tasks based on teams needs
- Team-oriented but self-reliant.
- Ability to carry job tasks with little supervision
- Experience with Agile software development

DESIRED SKILLS:

- Experience using Visual Studio Test Edition a plus
- Knowledge and/or experience testing financial or E-commerce web applications a plus
- Passion for or testing with Agile methodologies a plus
- MS SQL Server knowledge a plus
