SENIOR SCIENTIST

11 MONTH CONTRACT

CAMBRIDGE

Jake Phillips is recruiting for a SENIOR SCIENTIST to work on an 11 month contract with a global pharmaceutical company based at one of their temporary sites in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will join a team seeking to understand the impact of anti-angiogenic therapy on tumours, and how this effect combines with inhibition of DNA repair.

The main responsibilities will include:

- Working on 2 late stage development compounds
- Working with internal and external sensitivity mechanisms.
- Taking tumour samples and exploring biomarkers
- Handling large datasets
- RNA based analysis

The successful applicant will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

- Scientific degree
- Enthusiastic self starter
- ELISA, Western blotting and IHC based techniques
- skills essential
- Biomarker experience
- Experience of large informatics data sets
- Articulate writer as work is encouraged to be published
- Knowledge of Angiogenesis, DNA repair biology
