Senior Risk Technology System Analyst

A Top Financial Services firm in Boston, MA is bringing on a senior business/systems analyst in the risk technology team. This is a senior-level lead analyst position with responsibilities required to design and formulate business solutions to support Global Market Risk Technology Platform including counterparty Credit Risk, limit management and Credit Risk. Business/Systems analysis experience in the risk space is strongly desired. The desired skills are: * Must have strong knowledge of Capital Markets, Risk Management as well as Technology and Technology Implementation, with a deep understand of various financial products including fixed income, foreign exchange, derivatives and securities lending. Financial markets background and risk domain knowledge are highly desired. * Knowledge or experience with industry standard comprehensive risk and compliance framework/solution for market and credit risk such as Algorithmics, RiskMetrics, Murex, Calypso and etc, is a big plus. * Knowledge or experience with risk management concepts - market risk VaR, credit spread VaR, Credit PFE/CVA, risk sensitivities, stress testing and backtesting, is also a big plus * Knowledge or experience with implementation of sell-side market and credit risk workflow and control, and security pricing/valuation for foreign exchange, fixed-income, and/or equity derivatives is a plus. * Financial modeling experience, including the use and support for tools such as MATLAB, SAS or Bloomberg, is also preferred. * Working knowledge of relational database and SQL skills for data-centric risk analysis. Data warehousing skill set is a plus. * Must have excellent oral and written communication as this role will interface with both business and multiple IT team members in Boston as well as offshore.
