Currently, ST. JUDE CHILDREN\'S RESEARCH HOSPITAL has an opening for a SENIOR RESEARCH TECHNOLOGIST .

A position is available immediately for a highly motivated molecular biologist/protein biochemist interested in the structural basis for ubiquitin ligation in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute lab of Brenda Schulman at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Schulman lab takes an interdisciplinary approach to dissect the mechanisms of complex protein machines involved in signaling.

Experience with molecular biology, recombinant protein complex expression in eukaryotic sources including baculovirus/insect cells, and biochemistry of multiprotein complexes is desired. The Senior Research Technologist will assist the principle investigator with the collection and analysis of data for specified research projects. Following training, he/she will conduct projects related to assembling and biochemically characterizing multiprotein complexes, and help maintain efficient laboratory operations through overseeing cell culture. He/she must be able to perform laboratory experiments with minimal supervision, develop new procedures, manage specific, but limited, laboratory functions and train laboratory personnel. Demonstrate effort to increase knowledge of a specific area of research.
