Senior Quantity Surveyor

A leading construction and engineering company is looking for a lead Quantity Surveyor for up and coming projects. The role is primarily based in the Northern region of the UK and also requires some travel to the Midlands. The main project is a long term Crossrail venture involving electrification of existing rail lines. Experience in overhead line related projects would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 2 years experience in rail projects - Experience of working to an NEC3 type contract - RICS membership or working towards RICS membership - Strong communication skills - The ability to negotiate - The ability to present to clients As the lead Quantity Surveyor it would be expected that the right level of commercial support was offered to the Project and Commercial Managers.
