Senior QA Analyst

Our client is the leading eCommerce payment management company seeking a SOFTWARE ENGINEER WHO will bring an understanding of revenue billing processes and experience with billing packaged solutions. They will drive Quality Assurance for a number of projects, leading and overseeing 3rd party vendor activities around the world, delivering test plans, cases, and test results. The successful candidate will also have a keen eye for automation opportunities and metrics capture that can drive efficiencies in our revenue billing QA processes in the future. The candidate must embrace teamwork and promote a culture of openness and flexibility with his/her business partners and the extended team. Communication skills are essential as direct engagement with business operations teams will be a significant part of the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead project activity in the Revenue Systems QA team. Define and review test strategies, track status and ensure commitments are met. Ensure that testing and QA activities comply with corporate policies and adhere to industry best practices.
- Understand cross-functional dependencies and collaborate with other teams to meet end-to-end quality goals.
- Understand product and platform dependencies and help define QA environment and infrastructure needs in the Revenue Systems domain.
- Guide team on multi-threaded project deliveries and mitigate quality risk exposure.
- Advise on day to day decisions involving Revenue Systems QA, including estimating, scheduling, test planning, execution, and risk management.
- Foster partnerships with upstream and downstream teams including development, UAT, and user groups to ensure alignment and consistency in reducing product quality risk throughout the SDLC.
- Evaluate current procedures and practices and drive continuous improvement around processes and technical capabilities (IE AUTOMATION STRATEGIES). CHAMPION A METRICS DRIVEN APPROACH IN ALL KEY PROCESS AREAS.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 7-10 years of professional work experience, ideally 3+ in a revenue billing environment (ie OSS/BSS in the telco or utility space).
- Solid technical understanding of billing package solutions, ETL environments, RDBMSs, and a BI/Analytical reporting environment. Direct exposure to Oracle Revenue Management and Billing (ORMB), Microstrategy (MSTR) or Ab Initio a plus. Any experience with billing packages such as AmDocs, Oracle RMB or BRM, SAP Convergent Charging, Convergys, Suntec is a plus.
- Experience in working with SI vendors and leveraging onshore/offshore delivery centers is important.
- Ability to deliver results on multiple projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- Ability to generate creative and innovative solutions for QA challenges and constraints.
- Solid understanding of block box and White Box testing, ETL/data flow testing, performance testing, test automation, requirements traceability and general QA process reporting.
- Experience in waterfall, RUP, iterative and agile methodologies is a strong plus.
- Experience in using industry standard test management tools (eg Quality Center, Clearquest, JIRA) is a strong plus.
- Broad knowledge and understanding of Visa's products, services, processing, systems, and operations is a plus.
