Senior Python Developer Opening in Birmingham

I am looking to hire a Senior Python Developer in Birmingham with one of my public sector client.

This is a contract role for 3 months with possible extension.

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

- As a senior member of a digital project team you will be required to use an Agile and Test Driven approach to developing, testing and deploying Python Web based Digital Products.
- You will be required to build integrations with existing Legacy and line of business applications through implementation (or re-use) of a service based architecture based on Industry Standards, principles and best practices.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

*5 YEARS COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE WITH PYTHON*

- Commercial experience with modern MVC Web Frameworks (Flask, Django, etc )
- commercial experience in agile methodologies (Scrum, XP, etc )
- Experience with Test Driven (TDD) and Behavioural Driven (BDD) development techniques
- Demonstrable knowledge of software design patterns and best practices (SOA, Micro Services, DRY, etc )
- Experience leading and mentoring other team members, Experience working within a Continuous Integration environment (Peer review, Merge Requests, CI Setup, etc )
- RESTful services
- Test Automation Tools (Like Selenium)
- Experience with version control systems (Git, Mecurial, Svn, TFS, etc )
- Experience with Postgres and/or SQLServer databases
- Good working knowledge of Linux (ideally Ubuntu or other Debian based distribution)
