Sr. Project manager- Risk and Regulatory- Basel III

Sr. PM with experience of managing risk and governance projects in a bank (eg Basel 2 or Basel 3) is urgently required by a risk team based in Singapore. We are looking for a skilled project manager with excellent stakeholder management experience to come in and deliver business orientated projects that cover credit risk, model building, delivery of Basel 3 etc.

You must be an experience project manager who has worked in a banking company and who understands the language and terminology used by risk teams in a bank, if you have delivered projects like Basel 2/Basel 3 in the past then you will probably have a lot of the right experience.

This team needs someone with a a bit of gravitas who can work with business leaders, rather than for them to deliver best in class risk solutions that will help to take the whole bank forward.
This financial organisation has strong values and is undergoing a lot of change, they are looking forward and need people who can embrace and evangelize the changes that need to be brought. You'll be a straight talker and be able to back this up with recent previous experience. No doubt you will have experience of Matrix managing multiple projects and large budgets.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

- Responsible to facilitate the implementation of all Basel-III Project requirements by and act as point of contact for Regulator and vendors on implementation of Basel-III in the bank
- Monitoring progress of Basel III Project Plan, including: successes, key program milestones, issues and risks.
- Ensure a transparent consistent approach, and streamline Basel III calculation process and measurements as envisaged under Basel-II/Basel III requirements and industry best-practices.
- To be the Project Manager focusing on the new Basel III extension BCBS 239 programme.
- To help design the new TOM and help in the analysis phase of the programme and be involved in the gap analysis and scope of the programme.
- Gather requirements from a number of data business areas and map the business processes.
- Extensive stakeholder management
- Manage UAT
- Carry out process re-engineering
- Be involved in the design of the TOM.
- Manage a number of BA's.

Requirements:

- At least 7 years experience of working in Risk Management Division in leading financial institution, of which 3 years must be in Basel II/Basel III project management.
- Strong Basel III knowledge and other regulatory drivers such as COREP, FINREP etc.
- Bachelor/Masters Degree in Finance or Business Administration.
- Experience in process modelling and data modelling is an added advantage.
- Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes.
- Project planning and tracking experience
