POSITION/FUNCTION

Senior Project Manager RAN Engineering

GOAL OF THE JOB

- Management upgrade and deployment programs
- Managing subcontractors within the upgrade and deployment programs

TASKS AND DUTIES

- Managing programs UMTS/LTE upgrade, micro cell deployment and NT10 (existing sites that have to be moved)
- Defining upgrade program lists with the support of the regional radio planners
- Keeping program budgets under control; creating reports and forecasting CAPEX spendings
- Verifying and approving offers and orders (PO) from the subcontractor and requesting investment orders
- Booking goods receipt (GR) and accepting jobs (JA) to subcontractors
- Leading program meetings with the project managers of subcontractors
- Evaluating and managing subcontractors for the upgrade/deployment programs negotiating prices and supporting contract definitions

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Proper project management (scope, budget, time)
- Budget and reporting responsibility of owned programs
- Upgrade and rollout target and quality achievements
- PO, GR and JA approvals

DIFFICULTIES, PROBLEMS, CHALLENGES

- Keep up-to-date with new RAN technologies (on system level)
- Keep up-to-date with project management skills
- Find compromise between costs, quality and time
- Big spectrum of know-how and fast-learning skills
- Deal with several groups and interfaces within Sunrise and external companies
- Fulfill parallel tasks and stick to deadlines
- Fast adaptation on changing requirements

IMPORTANT RELATIONSelectrical engineering, computer science
- Minimum five years of experience in telecommunications
- Minimum three years of experience in project management
- English and one of Swiss spoken language skills

NICE TO HAVE

- Telecommunication operator experience in a similar position.
- Swiss spoken languages

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCE

- Knowledge in GSM, UMTS, LTE technology (especially radio related issues)
- Project management skills
- SAP, Mapinfo, MS excel, MS Access, Netsite
- Analytical problem solving abilities
- Working in teams, initiative
- Good communication skills
