Projektbeschreibung

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

-

To manage and ensure delivery of the Community Resources project across all five project workstreams, which forms part of the People Department (Adult Social Care and Childrens Services) transformation programme.
-

To manage, in a hands-on way, the delivery of three workstreams of the project (culture change, preventative services and carers)
-

To lead work with a wide range of relevant internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

- To support and/or prepare project documentation to deliver the detailed business case, including option appraisals, business cases, Project Initiation Document, Project Plan, Benefits Plan, Implementation Plan, Highlight Reports, Risk Registers and any other associated documents which support the delivery of project management and effective change.
- To support and guide the project managers working on the other two workstream (Information, Advice and Advocacy and Meals on Wheels) that are part of this project.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

-

To provide the project management and leadership to Community Resources Challenge projects as part of the People Department (Adult Social Care and Childrens Services) transformation programme.
-

To deliver the three workstreams of the project (culture change, preventative services and carers)

-

Identification of key stakeholders for this phase of the work and the communication required with each.

- To support and guide the project managers working on the other two workstream (Information, Advice and Advocacy and Meals on Wheels) that are part of this project.
-

Where appropriate, evidence gathering with councils to research best practice and potential solutions to find out what they were trying to achieve, what was critical to success, why they have followed the route they did, how they got there.
-

Early development of a set of key principles for a new way of working which are developed in the context of the emerging People Department.

Where appropriate, development of an outline business case, which will include ensuring effective linkage with other projects within the Challenge programme.

PERSON SPEC AND EXPERIENCE

-

Strong local government knowledge of social care, either adults social care, childrens services or both

Experience of working with social care service providers to effect change
-

Significant working knowledge and application of project management techniques - eg PRINCE2

Experience of business analysis and change management techniques

Experience of managing a small project team
-

Used to working in multi-disciplinary team and enabling joined-up working

Highly-effective communication skills - verbal, written and team

Pro-active approach to problem solving

People management skills inc workshop facilitation skills
