Senior Project Manager with Database and Automation experience in a large and complex environments. Project Management experience must be very heavy and Technical know how and experience of having worked on large projects in the past must match the requirement (thousands of Servers and hundredthousands of databases).
ROLE SUMMARY:
Our customer, a bank, is seeking a SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER TO DRIVE THE DATABASE AUTOMATION STRATEGY AND DIRECTION ACROSS THE BANK'S LARGE DATABASE ESTATE. This role will have responsibility for the implementation project of a compelling database automation strategy, using input from key stakeholders, internal customers and suppliers. The project realization plan will be socialised with stakeholders and then used to drive the project implementation. The role will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of this specific project ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. This is an exciting, challenging and rewarding role for a dynamic Senior Project Manager with a passion for delivering excellent results.
THE ROLE INVOLVES:
- To assume responsibility for the project management of the individual work streams as directed by the Programme Director.
- To achieve high performance on all aspects of project delivery, in line with commitments made.
- Define, communicate, executepreparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience (10 years+)
- proven qualification in project management or equivalent manager position
- knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
- knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- direct work experience in project management capacity
- proven experience in people management
- proven experience in strategic planning
- proven experience in risk management
- proven experience in change management
- proven experience in IT infrastructure and DBMS (Oracle and MS-SQL)
- database automation knowledge
- proficient in project management software
- fluent English
- Understanding German would be helpful
