Senior Project Manager (Data Centre)

The Senior PM will build the business case and presentations to articulate the business plan and rational of building a new data centre for company's next five years demand.

The Senior PM will leverage their technical expertise to oversee the entire scheme of approving a site, selecting an electrical and mechanical design and selecting a Contractor to design and build a data centre. The Senior PM will work with eircom Business, Facilities, Group Technology, Facilities Management and other stake holders to ensure that the project is delivered on time and to budget.

The SPM will prepare budgets and detailed criteria for Procurement in selecting various suppliers, consultants and contractors to deliver the project.

The SPM will detail the Operational model in the data centre in relation to Management, Facilities and Customer experience.

Experience in large scale programme and project management with recognised qualification

Identifiable hands on experience managing complex, multi-group, multi-disciplinary data centre projects in Ireland, UK & EU.

Experience with Data Centre equipment/environments, including site selection, switch gear, generators, UPS, fresh air cooling, chillers, air conditioning units, access controls, security systems, fire suppression systems and a working understanding of start-up/commissioning processes.

Experience managing M&E vendor relationships and understanding of innovative design and procurement in the construction industry, including knowledge of fast-track design build process and associated documents and contracts
